CHIANTI & GRAN FONDO STRADE BIANCHE

After the transfer we arrive in the Chianti area.
We check into the hotel, and setting up the bikes. After that a quick introduction of the week and what's ahead and we head for dinner after a first day of travelling. An amazing tuscan meal and a glass of local Chianti to toast the start of an unforgettable week.

Today’s ride takes you back in time—across the same iconic white gravel roads that have made the Strade Bianche one of the most celebrated races in modern cycling. We’ll cover around 80 km through the rolling Tuscan countryside, with multiple strade bianche sectors along the way. Expect a mix of smooth gravel, short climbs, and breathtaking scenery—this is the real heart of Tuscany. The focus of today’s ride is a Gran Fondo recon: we’ll ride key sections of Sunday’s event, giving you the chance to preview the terrain, test your handling on the gravel, and get a feel for the race-day flow. It’s the perfect opportunity to build confidence and strategy ahead of the big event. This is a challenging and rewarding day on the bike—historic roads, authentic landscapes, and the kind of ride you’ll remember for years... and to not forget lunch in Piazza del Campo in Siena!

Today we enjoy a relaxed 57 km loop through some of the most beautiful roads in the Chianti region. It’s a chance to recover the legs while still taking in everything that makes Tuscany unforgettable. We’ll ride past rolling vineyards, olive groves, and through historic villages—all with plenty of time to soak in the views. Along the way, we’ll pass by some of the area’s most scenic wineries, perfect spots for a quick pause and some amazing photo opportunities. A gentle day on the bike, rich in scenery, stories, and that unmistakable Chianti charm​

We start the day with a relaxed coffee ride, looping around Castellina in Chianti. It’s a short and social spin, ideal for keeping the legs fresh while enjoying the peaceful roads and scenery of Chianti one last time. In the afternoon, we’ll switch from riders to fans as we head out to watch the professionals tackle Strade Bianche. We’ll be positioned at Le Tolfe, one of the race’s most iconic climbs—a steep, punchy gravel sector where the pros pass twice. It’s the perfect spot to witness the action, feel the intensity, and soak up the electric atmosphere of world-class racing. A memorable day combining light riding and legendary spectating.

The big day is here! Today you take on the Strade Bianche Gran Fondo, riding the same legendary course as the pros—just one day after the race. With its white gravel roads, rolling Tuscan hills, and the iconic finish in Piazza del Campo in Siena, this is more than a sportive—it’s a true cycling experience. You’ll face the same challenges the pros did: steep climbs, twisting gravel sectors, and breathtaking views. But you’ll also feel the same thrill, pride, and sense of accomplishment as you cross that famous finish line. Whether you're racing it or riding it for the experience, today is all about celebrating the sport, pushing your limits, and soaking in one of the most unique events in the cycling world.
